Stevo Simple Boy Ends Relationship With Brenda After DNA Test Says He Is Not Dragon Junior's Father

Nairobi: Musician Stevo Simple Boy says a DNA test has shown he is not the biological father of his son, Dragon Junior. Soon after, he announced that he and Brenda, the child's mother, are no longer together.

The results came on Tuesday, October 20, 2026. A medical practitioner from Microafia Healthcare read them out. Stevo then shared a statement on Instagram. He said the findings had settled the question and that he and Brenda were done as a couple. He also asked the public to respect his privacy.

It is a heavy moment for the "Freshi Barida" hitmaker, whose real name is Stephen Otieno Adera. The couple welcomed Dragon Junior in late 2025.

Why he took the test

The doubts did not start this week. For weeks, social media users had been talking about the child's looks. Some joked about who the boy resembled. Others were not joking at all.

Then came the claims by Machabe, Stevo's former manager. He said Stevo was not the father, and that he was. Brenda rejected the claim in September. Asked if she had ever been romantically involved with him, she said, "Never." She added that she met him only through Stevo, and she did not say much more. Machabe's claim has not been proven.

In a recent interview, Stevo said the questions had become too heavy to carry. He said the child seemed to have features like his own, but looks alone could not calm his mind.
